to Maidenhead Service
(Tuesday
and Wednesday only from 20th May to 17th September 2008)
Although
this is our shortest scheduled service the cruise itself is full of
interesting sights. Highlights include the engineering masterpiece of
Isambard Kingdom Brunel's railway bridge (Maidenhead), Oakley Court
(made famous in the hammer horror films), Windsor Race Course before
finally finishing below the magnificent hilltop castle at Windsor.

bridge (one of Isambard Kingdom Brunel's most famous works)
Bray lock and village (renowned for the vicar who once changed religion
4 times under as many monarchs)
Monkey Island (previously the fishing seat of the 2nd Duke of Marlborough)
Oakley Court (which houses the exiled French government during WWII
and
also the venue for many Hammer Horror films- by nearby Bray studios)
