to Abingdon Service
(Monday,
Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 18th May to 21st September 2008)
Salters have
been operating from Wallingford since 1888 and this picturesque service
runs through some beautiful rolling countryside, which is punctuated
by a number of interesting villages. Highlights of the journey include
Shillingford House, the striking redbrick bridge at Clifton Hampden,
Dorchester Abbey and finally the magnificent waterfront of the market
town of Abingdon (with the dominant spire of St Helen's Church)
